曾經是野百合學運世代的周奕成，近年來以不同的商業模式經營台北大稻埕，讓這個以年貨大街聞名的老城區，變得很不一樣，而他在去年，取得台北國家戲劇院藝文空間的經營權，也讓國家戲劇院的商業空間，變得很文青。
一年前，戲台咖取代了原本誠品書局，重新規畫，結合書店、茶館、酒館多元的經營方式，受到不少年輕人喜愛。最近邀請畫家陳潔皓，以在戲院遊走的貓，設計歌仔戲、布袋戲、崑劇等9種角色戲台貓，希望透過這些戲台貓，讓更多人來認識劇場樣貌。
藝術家陳潔皓表示，「科幻的、魔法的、奇幻的元素，然後再結合一些戲劇的，比如東方戲劇跟西方戲劇元素在裡面，大家可以在裡面找到自己的樂趣。」
這個戲台貓的點子，出自於曾是野百合學運世代，這幾年讓大稻埕風華再現的周奕成，他說，希望讓這個藝文空間，注入更多戲劇元素，也多些創意的想像空間。
戲台咖負責人周奕成說:「國家戲劇院算是表演藝術的殿堂，大稻埕比較偏向民間社會、市井比較庶民，但是同樣都有戲劇和戲曲。我們都非常重視戲劇。」
戲台咖設計了戲台貓的角色只是第一步，周奕成說，未來也會構想劇本，將戲台貓的故事搬上舞台。 (陳姝君 張國樑 台北報導)
