新南向政策不只是經濟面，文化面也要新南向，文化總會9月22、23號，將在馬來西亞檳城，端出原汁原味的台灣藝術表演，2017年藝術卡車秀台灣，將載著九天民俗技藝團等表演者，在檳城傳遞台灣印象和台灣文化。
鼓聲齊下，宗教莊嚴氣息的台灣傳統文化，在九天民俗技藝團的鼓聲下，震撼人心，而且他們將隨文化總會2017年藝術卡車秀台灣計劃，走到東南亞，走進馬來西亞檳城，進行多元文化交流。
九天副團長 瑪利亞：「藝術卡車是第一次真的是在海外演出，把一個藝術舞台，帶到國際上，這是我們非常很興奮的期待演出。」
文化總會副會長 江春男：「我們要讓全世界知道，我們的台灣不只是民主國家，而且是一個文化非常活潑多元化的社會。」
紙風車文教基金會的藝術卡車，載著文化，走遍台灣大小鄉鎮，現在藝術卡車要前進東南亞，包括嚴詠能打狗亂歌團，創作歌手鄭宜農，和金曲獎最佳台語男歌手謝銘祐也都隨團演出。
第28屆金曲獎台語最佳男歌手 謝銘祐：台語歌已經自然發展成一種混合，就是泉漳州混合在一起的腔調。馬來西亞甚至保留更多那種古用法、腔調的用法，所以很想去跟他們聊一聊。」
政府不只經濟有新南向政策，文化也要新南向，為了促進台灣和東南亞文化文流，文化總會看中台灣和馬來西亞華語漢字的文化淵源，加上檳城華人人口多，9月22,23號要在檳城展現台灣藝術表演和台灣特色，深化台馬文化交流。(記者 李曉儒 蔣龍祥 台北報導)
