諺語：好bái袂定著，舊的罔寶惜
Hó bái bē tiānn-tio̍h, kū--ê bóng pó-sioh.
這句是流傳佇台南縣的諺語，意思是新的物件猶未試用，猶毋知好bái，舊的物件猶是愛共(kā)寶惜；這是教人愛寶惜舊的人佮事物。嘉南大圳是近代重要的水利建設，雖罔經過遮濟年日，伊是台南縣甚至是台灣的重要歷史記持(kì-tî)，尤其嘉南大圳對台灣經濟人文影響重大，無論地方抑中央政府，攏有需要重視佮寶惜；台南市長今(tann)決心欲整治嘉南大圳，是不止要緊的一步。
