宜蘭冬山長老教會不只是教會，可說是另類專收弱勢孩子的安親班，會有這樣的轉變，全都是因為牧師—鄭忠仁。十多年前鄭忠仁從台南神學院畢業後，帶著牧師娘一家人來到冬山，看到單親、新移民家庭的孩子下了課在社區閒晃，於是利用教會的空間，讓許多弱勢孩子下了課有安心寫功課的地方，就這樣一路陪伴他們，也陪伴他們的家庭。鄭忠仁說，因為他、冬山長老教會變得很不像教會，不過他覺得教會不應該只是宣教，應該像聖經所言，讓萬百姓因你而得到福氣，單純因為這個想法，他一做將近20年，鄭忠仁也說，做這些工作不是要成為一個有名的人，或是得到別人的注意，只期待教會能讓立足在這塊土地的人、得到利益。
